Does your mobile home need to be moved, and you don’t know how or can’t afford it? Sell it instead. We buy mobile homes that have to be moved, as-is, for cash, and the move becomes our job. You pick the closing date.
Sometimes a home can’t stay where it is: the park is closing or redeveloping, the park doesn’t allow the home to be resold in place, the lot is being sold, or you’re selling land without the home. Moving a mobile home yourself is expensive and complicated. Selling it to a buyer who can move it is often simpler.
What moving involves in NC
- A licensed mover with the right equipment, plus a setup crew at the destination
- Permits for transporting oversized loads
- A county moving permit: North Carolina counties generally require proof that property taxes on the home are paid before it can be moved
- A place to put it that will accept that age and size of home
- Disconnection of utilities, skirting, steps and decks
For a typical single-wide, the costs add up quickly, and for double-wides more so, since each section moves separately and has to be re-joined.
When the park is closing
North Carolina law gives residents written notice protections when a park is closing or changing use. If you’ve received a closure notice, read it carefully; Legal Aid of NC can explain your rights. A closure doesn’t erase your home’s value. We can buy it, whether we relocate it or salvage it.
How we price homes that must move
Our offer reflects the home’s value after it’s moved and set up, minus moving, setup and repair costs. Newer and well-kept homes can still bring a fair price. Very old homes may not justify a move, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.
